The yellow ones looks like GW Tau. 40k meets Infinity in the design. Not grabbed by it.

How do they look like Tau?

The yellow mech wouldn't be out of place as a Tau battlesuit, even down to the lower legs and feet. The guy on the right armour, long rifle and helmet are very Tau, he's even got a mini Tau drone. Both of the "warcasters'" staffs are very Ethereal.

Maybe in a general sense but big guns, bifurcated feet and big staffs were a thing before the Tau :-)

Yeah, I'm not really seeing Tau here either.  More Infinity than Tau, but really just another take on "Anime".

Q&A:
https://home.privateerpress.com/2020/02/20/warcaster-neo-mechanika-answers-to-your-burning-questions/

Some of the figures look decent from what we can see, but something strikes me as very '90s about them.  The way some of the figures seem to be made to survive single piece casting maybe.

Would be nice to have some better pictures.

Not exactly thrilled about metal for the jacks.  TAGs in Infinity would have been better served in Resin, in my opinion, and the jacks shown so far are about the same size.  Although they do say they will be evaluating material choice as they go.

Kinda wish they had reached out and purchased the rights to VOR instead of trying Warmachine in space.  But then again, given their overall history and relatively recent consumer unfriendly policies, maybe I don't wish that...

I read it more of resion being used for bigger figs. And metals for smaller.
So maybe resion Jack's with metal weapons?
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

I am pretty sure that is what they are saying, resin big stuff, metal small stuff. Not sure where they draw the line, but i the mechs aren't big stuff then what is.

Right? I mean if it does pick up. Maybe ships, larger warjacks or maybe even maned Mechs. But that's all conjunction at the moment.

This'll be interesting to keep an eye on and see how well it does but right now it does nothing for me...but then I never got bitten by the WrmaHordes bug.

The minis look ok and have a bit more chunk than those of Infinity; this does look a bit naff with the mech's shield and whatnot. Apart from the colour schemes and the cloaks the two factions look quite similar.

I'm not really seeing three distinct factions from the art work...more three distinct colour schemes.

I am thinking maybe different play styles. And when more figs are released. We will see more of a difference.

The main thing that bothers me at the moment is that each "faction" appears to have the same playstyle and units. Nothing seems really distinct about them and they don't seem to provide any different gameplay elements.

Like with other Privateer stuff, I might buy the figures despite not playing the game. It depends on the sculpts and the material. Resin would be a no-go for me. Metal or good hard plastic are what I want.
