15mm Renaissance Peasants, Townfolk, and Rabble?
« on: February 20, 2020, 04:12:00 PM »
Hi all, looking to flesh out my 15mm project by picking up some townfolk, peasants, and general pitchforks-and-torches rabble types.

I'm finding these harder to locate than I expected! Any suggestions?

Also interested in clergy (priests and protestant preachers) and kampfraulein.
Focused on 6mm pike and shot and 28mm Frostgrave

I'd say the Cossack Rabble pack from By Fire and Sword definitely counts as rabble. lol Despite being primarily Eastern European style, it's quite generic and can be customised because the weapons are almost all separate. Here's my half-painted unit (that I really should finish...)

Explore the Freikorps range at QRF - Elizabethan and ECW and other ranges have packs of civilians that may be useful.  Not my era so not really sure but I'm sure a visit would be worthwhile.  Good service, too.

The useful figures I've  found are:

Freikorps ECW camp followers
Matchlock ECW 'characters' section has a few useful figures
Minifigs ECW clubmen and Hussite peasants
Peter Pig sprinkles pack, plague doctors, scarecrow & peasants, clubmen  - all from ECW range

Pictures of all these are spread across a number of posts at https://www.keepyourpowderdry.co.uk/search/label/Civilians

Sprinkles, you ask?  Well, of course you do.  I sure did.  It is signs and a town drunk and a kneeling man in the stocks.  And it is "armed peasants and clubmen" at Peter Pig.  The scarecrow pack is versatile in its uses.  And, who knows, I might find a use for the plague doctors.
