Beautiful start on the table candy.

I love Plasticville for Fallout - and I used to get lucky by buying job lots of broken or missing part houses, which I would later go through, and either complete or turn into damaged buildings.

The first part of the settlement's power plant. This is the tractor from the Plasticville farm set. It has a somewhat cartoony looking farmer who is moulded as part of the vehicle...careful surgery with a fine saw was required. Added exhaust from Plastruct tube and bamboo skewer, fuel line from wire, and a fuel drum from a 3D print. Mounted on some bits of Plastruct I beams.

The Way is Forward.

All looks great! Really clever use of the tractor engine for the power plant. Your brotherhood of steel guys are really nice too, love the weathering on the armour.

An objective marker. A small one, but it is my first resin print. Threw on a quick paintjob and a couple tufts so that it hopefully looks like its sat out on the Wastes for a bit.

Cheers!

I love your buildings, very clean and bright but still weathered; mine always ended up looking very dark and grubby.

Latest useful addition - a still. Who doesn't want to build a Wasteland Liquor Empire?  Main boiler made from a champagne party popper, misc barrels from the bits box, and the usual suspects of corrugated card, bits of wood, etc.

Cheers!

You do great work.  Love your weathering and rust.

What is your recipe for painting rust?

Thanks all for the kind words!

Koyote - my usual technique is to start with a sponged or stippled base of burnt umber, sponge/stipple on a layer of raw sienna, and if its supposed to have some fairly fresh bits, a few dabs of a bright orange. Less is more for that colour.  That varies with the piece and context of the rusting (if that makes sense). Sometimes I go right to the raw sienna/orange phase if its very recent rust, or if its very old I may skip the orange altogether. The biggest thing is to stipple or sponge it so its gets a texture. On some items with sharp edges I will sometimes do a bit of light edge highlighting in silver. Hopefully that made some sense?  I have trouble effectively conveying concepts sometimes.

Cheers!
