Conwy Wargames club Operation Knights Move 1944

In Feb the club played a Rapid Fire game taking part the 1944 Knights Move operation to capture Tito has it's inspiration. Great fun was had with the glider landings and the parachute  drop. Dropping little bits of paper representing paras is satisfying.

Lots of pictures here:

The Germans gained a historical win, but were close to breaking. The partisans suffered terrible. I'd like to play the scenario using Battle Group to see the comparison of the outcomes.

In the heat of the battle the paras have retreated to the graveyard (we used a lovely church)

The thin grey green line of paras gets ready for the final moments as the glider troops wobble. The moment never came as the ground forces arrived
