Matchlock 15mm for the French and Indian Wars
« on: February 27, 2020, 12:12:17 PM »
The more of Matchlock Miniatures I paint the better I like them.  I find them to be accurate, proportionate and full of character.  Size wise they fit with both Essex and Blue Moon, an additional benefit as the Matchlock range isn't quite complete.  Most of what's needed is there and so far I've accumulated and painted  about half of the range.  The other half is on order.

If you are thinking of doing the French and Indian War in 15mm they are certainly worth a look.  There are pics of British Light Infantry, Grenadiers, Rangers and Highlanders on my blog along with French Marines, Line infantry, Indians and French Officers.  You can see how they compare to Essex and Blue Moon in some of the pics.  I intend to have pics of the whole range.  If it's of interest here is the link followed by a pic of the French regulars.

Well when's your first scenario - you've got a ton of units painted up, and we would like to see them on the tabletop!  ;D

(it might be a wait for M&T II though - as who knows if the cards are being held up in China for the rules yet)

I've been thinking about that.  I was going to wait on Muskets and Tomahawks as I took part in the 'Nickstarter' but I could give Rebels and Patriots a outing.

Indeed, it is time these figures were properly displayed - in the middle of a game!

I should select an R&P scenario then.  If the light is good I could take some pics.
