Firmly in the fantasy camp, I've just finished watching both seasons (only 6 episodes each) of the South Korean show 'Kingdom', a Joseon take on Game of Thrones.

Well worth a watch for inspiration with interesting costumes and sets (not an era I know much about so can't comment on its authenticity), and it's a rollicking good adventure to boot.

A special mention to the hats I the show. I've been reading up and apparently these are authentic? Magnificent hats.

That's funny, Sir Theo, my son and I were just watching it last night and we both made the same comment on the magnificent hats!

I just watched the first episode last night- I was pretty impressed. Seems to be set after the Japanese invasions of the 1590's. While I am no expert it does look pretty authentic. The hats are indicative of rank or profession, and look like the real deal to me.
