Experiments with short people
« on: February 18, 2020, 03:30:13 PM »
So having looked and not found any female dwarf figures I really liked I thought why not try a little experiment...

Take one perry knight
Remove legs, cut down and refit
Remove head, replace with statuesque miniatures head
Take two frostgrave arms remove top 'lapels' shape and fit

Size comparison
Against standard oathmark dwarf and against standard dwarf head swap and arm change.
Add green stuff at own leisure to taste.

Thoughts?
C&c's welcome
Cheers all

For more 'realistically' proportioned dwarves, I think you hit the nail on the head with the viking-headed one.

I'm not fully convinced by the Statuesque head on its own though. It feels to me like it needs something extra, like a cowl, more hair or something else. It looks a bit lost/smallish right now and the hands are a tad on the large side. Perhaps try some Perry arms instead; those are smaller for sure.

But definitely on the right track I'd say... 8)

Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Thanks for the input Daeothar
Point taken
I have the slightly larger heroic scale heads from statuesque miniatures so will try them, perhaps a blast of green stuff fur will do the trick?
Will post a progress shot
Cheers

Looking at the first two pics, my first response was.......not another female dwarf with a beard.  ;-)
Lots of Hero Forge today.
Put I do like the dwarf in those pics.
The female dwarf proper though. Her head seems small for the body.
Thinking maybe Reaper female heads might do for now.
