I am presuming most of the scenery is cardboard.  It is extremely effective.  I love your miniatures too.
Thanks for posting on the main Fantasy Board and not on that evil, smelly Frostgrave Board  ;D
It is mainly card terrain. If done well it can look really good. And yeah... I forget that the Frostgrave board exists. I rarely look at it because I just basically forget to look.

This is excellent - thanks for posting these. I am now wondering whether I should add Rangers to the various other projects I have started or picked up again during our current hiatus...
Thanks Severian. This is the first solo game I've ever seriously played (except for some regular rules that I've played by myself once or twice) and I really like the games. I'd definitely recommend it.

Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

Gave in and downloaded the rules. Now I'm messing about with terrain on a 3'x3' section of my games table and rummaging in boxes of half-painted figures for the makings of the first scenario. Oddly enough, I don't seem to own any actual zombies. Plenty of things to stand in for them, though.

Great fund of ideas and inspiration on your blogs so thanks again for taking the time to post them.

Go for it! I had trouble with zombies. I do have a lot of post-apoc zed's and I was going to use a few but I found a pack of Reaper Bones zombies in a shop and that pretty much convinced me to start playing.

Thanks very much Swordisdrawn. I'm a frustrated, wanna be, fantasy author. Unfortunately my writing skill sits at about D&D adventure level.

Brilliantly inspirational thread! Thanks for sharing, gives me food for thought on trying the game out.
Take the plunge. You know you want to, Rick.  :D

So my ranger, Hwyll and his companions have descended into the very heart of the Shadow Deep. This is the last of the into-missions and once again I think it was a great game.

There's a full write up/AAR on my RoSD blog at: https://hwyllarosd.blogspot.com/2020/04/mission-3-winding-stair.html
Plase have a look.

I played the second part of Mission 3 from the RoSD rule book. This was a tough one and I can only imagine that the next one is going to be even tougher. But, once again it was a really enjoyable game. I never thought I could get so much enjoyment from a solo game and I'm really glad I got into RoSD.

Here's a link to the full AAR: https://hwyllarosd.blogspot.com/2020/04/mission-3-into-swamp.html

Thank you. I've been wracking my brain to get the best out of the terrain I have for these games.

Mission 3 - The Last Stand- from the RoSD rule book. This was a big game with more figures than usual and twice as many turns. So the AAR on the blog is pretty long this time with dozens of photo's. Once again it was a great game with plenty of nail-biting action.

Excellent again - and some great photographs.

You've done a really fine job of bringing out the narratives of these games. Looking forward to the next episode..

Thanks. I just started reading The Burning Light supplement. It will need a little preparation.

Thanks Sevarian. The next one will be a bit of  mash-up but we'll see how it goes.

Thanks LoM. I wish I had discovered it earlier.
