Encounter at Richendorf 1800 French Consular period.
« on: March 27, 2020, 03:31:50 PM »
A meeting of the Border Reivers club about a month ago produced a French Revolutionary (Consular period actually) game between a French rear guard force defending the village of Richendorf in the Rhineland area  from a attacking Austrian army. Chris's excellent photography does the figures on display some justice. Nice one mate!

Many more very nice photographs can be found here:

Be careful out there chaps,
Dave.

A beacon of joy in a slightly dark period.  Thanks for posting, a joy to read and dream of replicating such scenes.  Great figures and scenery sure do make for good eye candy.  Worth digging around in your mates nether regions🤢

A huge mixture of figures guys, started about 15 years ago with Old Glory as at that time they were the only manufacturers who did the French Revolutionary wars period other than Foundry who's figures don't unfortunately fit in size wise with the others. Then as they came on stream as it were, Trent, Elite, Eureka and finally Emperor Toads Emporium who are expanding their range at a rapid rate. I'm sure there will be more to come!
