Anyone doing 3D terrain?

I started a project (2×4 board) for my Grandaughter.
Simple buildings with interiors, sidewalks, road, that sort.
I dont see a lot of people doing this? Wonder why?
BTW, I found that a 2" square grid is really helpful

I want to, for Superhero and Fantasy/D&D, but I do not have the time of space atm. I have started grabbing some stuff when I see it locally. I want to see the Marvel Crisis terrain next to the 28/32mm stuff I use, I hope it is not too off on scale since that will be a decent/cheap readily available option.

Something that is easy to build and store is this City Block set from Battle Systems
https://shop.battlesystems.co.uk/city-block-core-set-42-p.asp
. Although designed for zombie games, I use it with my heroclix figures. Covers a 2 x 2 area, but the buildings could be spread out further.

Try TT Combat - selectin of mdf buildings
They also do some resin accessories as well
There's also Knights of Dice - Australian Company but can get some of it through shiny games

Sorry I don't get the question have you looked around this forum? is it for a particular game that no one is building 3D terrain?

Yes!
Here is a look at "Patriot City" for my Super Mission Force super heroes.
These buildings were made from printed images, adhered to 3/16 foam board, simple box shapes. Cost of each is a few dollars in foam board, printing and adhesive. Most of these buildings can each be done in couple hours. For the cost of 1 good size MDF building, I built this entire city. No painting, minimal (and simple) assembly. Game mat was from Deep Cut Studios.
I have also done buildings for zombie and historical games as well.
If you think these look good enough, give them a try or let me know for more how too.

Love it. The street signs and various chairs and water pumps etc. really help add character.

I created these a long time ago. They stack nicely in a corner and are robust and modular.
Plus, you can paint them with spray paint as I made stencils for the lines.

These may not show well, but they are plastic model railroad buildings.

Your table looks incredible. What is the playmat you are using? Are the buildings the Plasticville O(O/S) Scale buildings?

That's the Metroscape mat from Cigar Box. And yes those are Plasticville. Got em at the local hobby shop. I don't have everything in those pictures. Have trees, bush's and such to put on it too. I do need to get some of the signs, mailboxs, benchs and things that Kim has on his board.

Look at this site for our local con in Dayton Ohio. A number of the pictures are from where I ran SMF and the Gaslands game.
