Hi, I am trying to reply to a DM from Dr de'Ath but keep getting an error message. Can someone pass on a message for me

The spelling can often be the issue with that one! I've sent him a link to this thread.

As far as we can see, it is an issue with the forum software.

In short, his registered name is "Dr deAth", without the apostrophe (probably removed automatically on registration). This is the name address that should be added to the recipient field of the PM assistant, but it seems to grab the display name (with the apostrophe).

Our tech has been working on it for some time, but apparently there is no easy solution for it, other than the pretentious chap dropping the oh-so-fancy apostrophe from his display name.  ;)

Stupid machines, never accounting for the intricacies of the human mind.  lol

I've changed the display name, if that's okay. I'm sorry we had to resort to that, but given the repeated issues, I guess it's the most pragmatic solution.

You could, of course, modify your avatar image to include the "proper" spelling as a compromise
