Hey everyone, been a while since I've posted anything here but it's wonderful to see the forums ticking along! It was on this forum that I was first acquainted with the idea of wargaming a historical Arthur... years later I've made a modest start on wargaming the 5th/6th centuries in the West.

I've started a new blog, but also wanted to share my progress here.

Here's my most recent figure. I've called him Berulf:

Here's a snippet from my blog:

"I've imagined Berulf as a larger-than-life character, standing head(s) and shoulders above most men. He might be a champion, a brigand or perhaps a nobleman's bodyguard - it depends on who is paying. Ready to do the jobs that most won't, he has seen more than his fair share of battle. As a fighting man Berulf has accumulated considerable wealth in his career. He clearly displays this with the spathae hanging from his belt and the large, gold bracelet on his wrist - you just try taking it from him!"

Got a nice start to your project. Going to fallow and see where it leads.  :D
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Thanks for the kind comment, Atheling!

Very nice  :) Like your palette!

Thanks, Guy! I get a bit thrown off by too many colours... I do get told it's a bit dark so have been working on highlighting. I also use a black undercoat, which is a little out of fashion now lol
