Cheers Grumpy Gnome.

Herewith, some female warriors including a female dwarf - all Reaper miniatures. Would like an all-female warband of 10 or so miniatures to which these might contribute.

Herewith, some useful relatively generic warriors suitable perhaps for a number of warbands.

Herewith, what will hopefully be the colour scheme of many elves. So starts my elven ice army.

Any thoughts on the colour scheme?

Looks good, but I’d be tempted to add a splash of colour. Maybe a sky blue shield with a white dragon motif on it?

Cheers Citizen Sade - specifically wanted to avoid the typical GW look here, which maybe blue would create. My summer equivalents are for instance green. Wanted largely metallic gold and silver with white and then all leather and wood being very light in colour too. Realise won't be everyone's cup of tea but I do enjoy deviating from the standard.

Herewith, Skaven warband with giant rat and plague priest. See the priest as the spell caster sort and the giant as his apprentice also see him as similar to the Pied Piper leading the rats.

I think a nice powder/sky blue would be a good idea.
It would add to the wintery feel, while breaking up the white.
I would also be tempted to apply a coloured hem, with the
use of a Gel Pen, or even a glitter Gel Pen.

Adding the North Star for fluffiness or the northern lights if you want to get snazzy.

Cheers Citizen Sade and Has Been.

Herewith, statues suitable for fantasy and also the likes of Frostgrave. Also pictured with loose snow allowing for any weather setting.

First up some toy knights turned into statues. I wanted the plinths to be pillar or column-like and painted what I would imagine as Roman red.

With 28mm miniature for scale.

Herewith snow.

Showing the top of the plinth - imagine this as rough rock.

Second, up some knight display pieces, repurposed into statues and repainted. The damage now makes sense.  Again, 28mm miniature for scale.

Here without the snow.

The statues look nice, especially with the snow on them.
I don't think I could be bothered reapplying it though.
I would fix it in place.
The Bronze(?) knights look too shiney, well to me at least.
I would mix up & thin down a turquoise paint (or ink) & let
it run down the figures. Looks like verdigris. Try it on one,
if you don't like it you can wash it off before it dries.
Keep up the good work.

Keep an eye out for incomplete chess sets (Charity shops
& car boot sales) as they are great for statues, ornate door-
ways, altar 'gods' etc.  I fix a few together on a scenery base
as it saves set up/break down time & means you can add
some smaller details. Broken walls, skellies & other detritus.

I have been thinking about that - have gotten some of the technical GW paint to do as much...

Herewith, snow hedges. In one game I also used these as a spell effect wall of thorns.

They are not particularly imposing as hedges go.

Herewith treasure piles, useful for any fantasy, make interesting objective markers - great for pirates too. The chest is nifty in that the lid comes off to reveal the treasure within. The blueish one on the left looks like a spell effect with spirits starting to rise up from the depths.

Herewith, another two wizards one with his own themed warband the Bear Killers. The other is a dragon mage.

For more wizards see: https://frictionbmcminiatures.blogspot.com/2022/04/golgothas-fantasy-snow-and-ice-wizards.html

For more pictures see: https://frictionbmcminiatures.blogspot.com/2022/04/golgothas-fantasy-snow-and-ice-another.html

First up the captain of the Bear Killers for which I still need to paint the leather on his banded armour across his chest.

The wizard here originally had a wolf head skin on his head, but as I have two of these miniatures including the mounted version I thought with this one that I would change his staff to a skull and the wolf to a bear given the theme of his unit.

The dragon mage and also pictured with dragon - the Ice Queen will not be amused.  lol

Cheers Pattus Magnus.

Herewith, barbarian warband, what are called Hothians in the world of Argon. Do like the Norse Mythology feel of these.

I really like this chaps shield which has a wolf eating a hand - this man's story as the figure is also missing a hand. Must have been an encounter with one of my Warg miniatures.  lol

Herewith more barbarians, this time summer in appearance, it has been hot after all... Miniatures by Reaper, Grenadier Fantasy and Zombicide. These Grenadier Fantasy miniatures are available from EM4 Miniatures and the Zombicide can be found cheap on Ebay from China. Included is also Xena and her girlfriend.

Loads more pictures are available here:
