I must have painted around 40 Thracians with cloaks like those. time permitting I'll upload some photos .
From memory the Hoplites won, we allowed Herakkles, the son of Zeus to take to the field. The game centred around the Acropolis with it being an objective. we fudged the rules which ended up aiding the hoplites. The Spartans managed to beat the geanstealers through rank bonus and phalanx abilitiy
finding those figures remined me of some ideas I had for low level fatasy elements to inform historical gaming. For example the Broken Sword by Paol Anderson is set during the Viking age at a time when the Sidhae and Celtic FAe kinsgdoms remained intact and where changelings could end up leading raiding parties, or the Bran Mak Morn novels where a Pictish king in his war againstg Rome resorts to enlisting the help of some very unpleasant armies ( read Worms of the Earth by Robert E Howard )
