Thanks, General.

IŽll readily agree on the layout thing. That was crap. I didnŽt really like the FC style of the old book, either, but that tiny font was horrible.

We never really used the Chronicles book. And since I played Bauhaus and Capitol, the List book wasnŽt too interesting for me, either.

IŽll also agree with you that the change from platoon-size skirmish to company-size skirmish that took place was not the best of ideas, and the new algorithms werenŽt too easy, either.

My main gripe was with those horribly-overclocked character models, especially since most gamers tended to ignore the fluff guidelines.

That's what that company that-shall-not-be-named did with 40K, ruining the game, IMHO, but sending their profit to heaven...

Another reason to love Pulp games: you don't need hundreds of miniatures to play a single afternoon game.

The best advice I'd give to anyone wanting to play 40K is never play more than 400pts, that's about two or three squads a side.

I'm a total convert to the cult of pulp.   :)

I've just received a pack of plastic miniatures from Warzone that I ordered to Prince August. A really fast delivery with good packaging. Miniatures came in a plastic bag with no references whatsoever to "Warzone"

I suppose you know this miniatures... 80 plastic ones: 40 Imperial, 40 Bauhaus for 4 squads each of 1 Sargent, 1 Heavy, 8 grunts...

I bought this minis because I like their VSF - retroscifi feeling. Imperials looks like brit soldiers and Bauhaus like german-WWI soldiers... They are not heavily detailed but look good when mounted and will act fine as evil henchmen for pulp games or soldiers por VSF battles.

All in all, a good purchase.
