I flocked the Epic I painted last year and took some beauty shots for EpiComp. I'm working on some Blood Bowl right now but I hopt to get back to painting these guys in a month or two.

I've been building up some reinforcements for the Imperial Guard Armored Company this past week. I got a bunch of the low hanging fruit (no conversions) as well as a few of the simple conversions built.

The Medusae, Griffons and Hellhounds fell into the simple conversions category. The Medusa is just an AT Basilisk gun chopped short, the Griffon an SM/TL basilisk gun chopped short, and the Hellhound some plasticard tanks with SM/TL Hellhound turret.

Indeed. I think he's gotten well past the "company" level at this stage.

Indeed, but there is no such thing as a small Epic army.

Thanks guys, ya they're coming along. A few models left to build but nearing completion.

Rich, the Chimeras are stock SM/TL era models. I used the same hull for the Hellhounds. Is that what you're asking?

I think I lost one of the last two weeks, either that or I wasn't very productive. I've been filing and cutting away to convert the last of my Russes. Getting the sponsons off the hull is an utter pain so I think they'll be coming down to the maker space with me to have a meeting with the bandsaw and belt sander.

The Executioner turrets are done, I used an old 40k 2e Chaos Plasma Pistol for the gun. It fits pretty good for the era, I think.

The Conquerors turrets are two bits of plasticard and the Stormbolter taken off of the plastic Colossus Robot from the Imperial Guard sprue. Two of the tanks have the plates I'm using to cover the sponson locations, just more plasticard.

I started painting up a few more units for Historicon this November, they're based up and have their main colors blocked out and washed.

I finished up the Epic Salmanader Command, Hydra and Vanquishers this week.

Years ago I won some lot that had a load of old decal sheets with heraldy symbols on them. I was hoping to use bull heads but I didn't have enough for all my command vehicles and ended up going with a rampant lion instead. There's also some German vehicle numbers in there from GHQ, so I'm wondering if I should spend the time numbering my Russes now.

They look great - the flags work well. I’ve got some old Bretonian decals that see use in random spots.

Adding numbers - they will look good, I often add them to WWII armour - but up to you if worth the effort

Thanks guys.

I wanted to have these ready for NEAT next Saturday so I painted up my remaining Commissar markers and a Supreme Commander today after doing the putty work last night. They're all magnetized to be dropped in where they're needed in a given list.

Very cool - especially given the tiny size!
