North Koreans.
« on: May 15, 2020, 02:28:03 PM »
Finally getting these finished, got rid of those horrible SKS' and added a couple of missing ammunition pouches along with a plastic nambu for the officer and medal for the standard bearer. The figures are a little annoying as they are quite nice but spoiled by a lot of silly mistakes like the SKS and missing pouches and repeated poses which would have been avoided with a little bit of planning.

Very cool, where did you source the rifle replacements?
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Really nice. I think Warlord did a good job with these figures.

I would say the sculptor did a good job more than warlord as they are good sculpts that are spoiled by a lot of silly mistakes that I assume warlord instructed them to do such as the wrong weapons, missing ammunition pouches and far too many duplicate poses.

Who will you have them fight against?
I got Empress late WW2 yanks to use for the early half of the war and was wondering how well they stand next to each other.

Not sure at the moment, I was hoping for some ROK troops to be released (barring them being armed with m14's or being made with the same height the Chinese they released)
As for the empress figures I have included a picture of a Norm with an empress French para which I would assume to be a similar size if it helps.

Thanks for the photo comparison!
And i am also waiting for the ROK troops to be made. I mean if all else fails, i belive the ARVAN  or ROK Marines will be made by Empress some day soon. And they migbt work as well.  lol

Perhaps, hopefully empress will release a super-bazooka pack to the American range making them ideal for the Korean war as well.

Gringo's 40 does a Super Bazooka.
I have not finished mine, but here is a comparison between the loader and an Empress marine. The Gringo's figure is on a Warlord lipped base.

Here is the Gringo's 40 picture

Cheers for the recommendation, unfortunately they are are bit too modern for Korea uniform/equipment wise, if I started giving my yanks m16s I would be no better than warlord lol.
