That desert tone works great on the AT-ST. I still got one of the Bandai kits to build, great inspiration (although I will probably go with the canon grey, but I'll try to emulate that smooth sheen).

Great brushwork!

Thank you! And yes, that’s GW agrellan earth over black primer. I sometimes paint on matt varnish to make it stick better, depending on how the cracks come out. After experimenting with washes and drybrushing I found it not worth the extra effort (and washes sometimes creep under the texture and loosen it).

Next up some quick and dirty death troopers. I also painted some characters, Palpatine, the alternate Vader model and general Veers. Palpatine and Vader are probably a missed opportunity to paint better blacks, but I enjoyed painting Veers.

Next up: imperial royal guard. I love the Legion figures, but these are probably my least favourite. For starters some visible areas are hard to reach underneath even without a base. In hindsight I should have used black primer with white zenithal. The other thing is that I couldn’t get the weapons straight. Maybe I should have used more heat? At least I could set them up so it’s not visible on the photo.

Next reinforcements: Imperial special forces / inferno squad, Iden Verso with ID10, and Bossk, who was a joy to paint.

And a TX-225 tank. A bit strange to those who like me grew up with episodes IV-VI being I-III, but still a nice model.

Cracking!

Really loving Star Wars again after watching the Mandalorian and re-watching the Clone Wars, was left very much disappointed with the recent trilogy (though I thoroughly enjoyed both Rogue One and Solo).

Your minis are excellent.

+1 to everything!

New trilogy = not my taste, imo far far worse than ep. I-III
Soloe + Rogue One = Ace
Nick‘s models = fabulutastic!

Not the best of pictures, but with the year drawing to a close it was time to take a look where I‘m at with this years Imperial painting spree.
