Interesting picture, but I severely doubt it's 'Condor Legion' as the title says... though somebody from the Condor Legion may have taken the picture. Rusty though my German is... it's an armoured vehicle belonging to the 'reds'.

I don't know what the crest below the number 9 is though.. looks like the emblem of Castille under a crown. Quite a formal emblem to have on what appears to be an improvised armoured vehicle.

The better half (who is German) confirms your translation.  I agree unlikely to be Condor Legion - possibly something captured and photographed by a Condor Legion member?

I'd say the odds are in favour of it being a souvenir sent by a Condor Legion member... could be one of the Germans on the Republic's side, but I doubt it would have got to its recipient with a Republican postmark.

The car itself seems quite a professional job in comparison to some, solid tyres would indicate an old chassis though. There's bound to be some bright spark who'll shed some light on it though... where's Westphalia Chris when you need him?
