Colorized photos

Came across a couple of photos of German soldiers that show both the original "black and white" (really sepia !) image and the colorized version. Thought they might be useful for individuals trying to judge the colors in other photos.
A. Stormtrooper carrying MP18, photos compared side-by-side:

B. Black-and-white group photo of a Stormtroop:

Thanks for sharing - very interesting.
In the group photo, how are the grenades attached to their waist belts, as there doesn't seem to be any hook or whatever on the grenades being held in the hand?

The stick grenade typically had a hook on the head - i think you can just see it on the one held by the standing guy 2nd in from the right
But they do look as if they are just magically (or magnetically attached) - would make modelling them easy, as you can just glue grenades to belts.

Ah, yes. I missed that first time around as, at a casual glance, it blended into the white background.
Thanks!

You can barely see that hook on the grenade being held by the guy on the front left (to us, not to them). It appears to be made of bent wire.
Makes it really easy to model, doesn't it? :-)

These pictures show the grenades themselves with the metal hooks used to hold them onto belts, etc.
