I came across a photocopy of what might be a self published game, or one done on a small scale that never became noteworthy. I can't find any reference to it searching online. I can't find any publisher information or contact information in the copy including the cover. Titled "Tombstone" (I assume) as the cover is a copy of the "Justice is coming" poster for the Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer, Sam Elliot, etc. movie. There are copies of key tables on pg 1, and page two starts with:
"This module represents the build-up to and aftermath of the Gunfight at the O. K. Corral."
Further down there are key characters listed with two stat-like numbers (Wyatt Earp 2, +2...John Ringo 9, +1....Tom McLaury 7, 0) but nowhere are they explained. The reference to this as a module and lack of explanation implies that there is a parent set of rules to which this belongs.
Below that there is a diagram of the layout and direction for the Town Maps to be configured and the layout is:
C............B (OPPOSITE DIRECTION)...........D
H............A.................................................G
indicating there are at least eight mapboards.
The rest is a programmed solo game where you read a paragraph, roll for the results, and that sends you to a subsequent numbered paragraph.
The game ends as soon as any of these three occur.
1. Wyatt Earp sustains four wounds while alone outside of town.
2. Two weeks and one day pass
3. All chance encounters have been used.
While I can certainly use the programmed sequencing with any of my Old West rules I'm curious as to how this connects with what game.
Anyone out there know? Thanks.
