Hello everyone.

I did a little video of an unboxing of Wargames Atlantic's new Persian Infantry, and compared the size and style to the old Wargame Factory plastics that have been around for a long time.

Hope this helps some folks here if they're considering to add some new Persians to their Wargames Factory armies!

Cheers!

Thank you for the reviews!

Technically these are also Wargames Factory as that is who is making these for Wargames Atlantic.

That's good! Though they're obviously under a new name . . . Let's call them the upgrade!

Thank you mate, good review!    some parts and miniatures would be useful even for Parthian or Sassanid, imho.

With some head and shield swaps they could be Celts or Dacians. Good review.

Not sure that is true.

Not sure that is true.

Would also like to know, where you got that information @wmyers?

Could be possible they use the same manufacturer (not sure) but don't think they are the same company as the defunct Wargames Factory.

I could see it being the same manufacturer, but the company being totally different. The factory in China could specialize in plastic objects / toys and also did up Wargames Factory's models, and many factories will produce items for multiple companies.

Awesome review.  Thanks for putting it up!

40 figs is almost enough for a unit....   :o

Thanks, great video! The kit looks really nice and compatible with the older figures.   I might just paint some ancient Greeks to have a go at those Persians.

So, can you make Immortals with these, or should they have a different kit?

Here is some in-depth information about the figures from Jeff Jonas of Ancient Battles.com

Yes. Although the Immortals are sometimes shown in long Persian robes, on campaign they probably wore the same Median style as everyone else. Duncan Head has them with armour over their tunics. Nick Sekunda has them is high quality colourful versions of the same tunic and trousers. Lots of purple and saffron colours.
