Hello again.....
So here's a first, The Commander actually buying some wargames zombies!?!?!?!?
I kid you not. Read on and all will be revealed....
Ok so my take.
Ordered Wed pm from on ebay for £16.99 for the box, postage (2nd class) free. (actually sent first class)
Arrived today, box art on the front cheap and nasty, silly renders, (there's a suprise).
Rear artwork is a photo of the studio pj's:
Better off putting the art from the rear on the front and some other stuff on the rear. But i digress...
On first impressions, plastic is like that used for the Em-4 plastic minis, (a little bit shiney grey) well cast, minimal mould lines and the detail, whilst still a little soft, is greatly improved on the original nasty zeds from a few years back.
Quite slight compared to other wargaming minis, (will sort comparisons out once I've built a few) arms and hands noticably so. Heads are nice sculpts, (in principle) but still too darn soft.
Remind me a lot of scaled railway minis, so again a little bit of wargaming 'weight' could be added to these ladies but in a cosmopolitan horde you'll hardly notice.
Two have the manga inspired 'I need a pee pee!!!' knocked knee pose but the rest ok. One crawler per sprue and a fair number of handbags, grab bags and other items of luggage every disernable zombie girl needs for a night on the town.
Baywatch swimming float is a nice touch, will pair her up with my Hasslefree zombie surfer dude!
All in alll a much better product, a good niche, not perfect and still suffering from some of the soft focus issues of before but again as I said, much better produce all round.
Oh and the little circle is a serving tray for the diner chick zed shown on the rear of the box.
You never know I might even paint something this week.
The Commander
p.s You also get 36 not 30 zeds, (2 crawlers/thighwalkers per sprue).
