LT Harris is a stout man. I hope he would do the same to me if I happen to get bitten.

Trooper Jenkins... God rest his soul.

Love the Helicopter. Is it 1/43 scale?

Yup, with lights and sounds too! Have a pair of civilian pilots to paint up as a 'valued package' for a 'safe escourt/we're screwed if they die' game.

Time ticking away until next game but there you go, glorious weather and good surf.... no time from brushes today! :D
Now water can flow....or water can crash...be water my friend.

Back to the zombies now, (gaming trip next week from wednesday so unpacked the dead lead for some more fun and frolics)!

2 1/2 hrs last night and 2 tonight seven finished another seven half done:

Griffin, Studio, Cold war and Musketeer Miniatures.

Also a mantic ghoul torso with a GW brettonian flagellant head and golgo islands legs.

Aiming for another 20-30 this weekend in preparation for playing.

Keep you lot posted. (and yes a semi nudey one in his robe!
Tengu ones to paint tomorrow, discovered my dead flesh technique again.

I wasn't aware of Musketeer doing zombies.

I've done him as a school crossing giy, but looking again I suppose he could be yup.

Anyway this was one of the zeds available through griffin miniatures a good few years ago, there was also some controversy (griffin = Harbinger Magazine, and there was some ill feeling as a lot of people lost subscription money when it folded), I also managed to track down the sculptor way before this, (a chap called Dave) who let me have a set of the masters of a number of survivors and zeds for a song.

Still got all the survivors to paint up, (priest, goth chick, fireman, mechanic/redneck, lady cop). Eventually eh? ;)

Well rather than painting today, was woken up by my lovely little monkey of a son singing at five am (he's only six month's old bless him) me baby sitting for my wife while she went off for a ride (horses!!!) and then from 12:30 till 5 writing a bloody internal review report for work!  >:(

So probably pick up the brushes and finish off a few from last night now then call it a night.

I've been meaning to ask you... I have not seen any of the "hordes" that are in the AR:SE rules. Are you not using that rule or are you just massing some of your million zombies into a "cluster" for that effect?

....., discovered my dead flesh technique again.

Do tell...

Is it just me, or does the 'flasher''s torso resemble a face??

I think the 'Survivor the Walking Dead' set is still available - cannot tell otherwise from Griffin's website. I ordered them back when they were at 'novelty' discount, and when they seemed to go missing in the mail, another set was shipped and arrived duly, so I've never had reason to doubt the company, though I know some people still feel somewhat hassled because of the Harbinger affair...

Have most of them painted up, btw, and I think I have some pics of games including some of them, somewhere (that's a teaser, I know, I don't have much access to my own computer for the next week or so, though, as our phone/internet connection has not been moved, yet, so in order to have access to home banking I maintain the computer at the house we just moved from, until the connection is up at the new place - but as soon as everything fall into place, I promise to post pics of past Fear & Faith zed games, as well as other backlog games, and then start posting regularily along with games being played  ;D  )
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

Do tell...

Well... I could, but then I'd have to kill you!  ;)

No secret really just playing with palettes

Three colour options that work well:

Grey, overwashed with thinned purple ink + green citadel wash, highlights picked out in grey + touch of rotting flesh (GW)

Camo green (GW), washed with thinned purple ink, red ink + green citadel wash, highlights picked out in thinned camo green(GW)/rotting flesh(GW).

Rotting flesh (GW) washed with thinned purple ink + green citadel wash, highlights first with rotting flesh (GW) and a tiny spot of purple ink, then rotting flesh highlighted with a touch of bleached bone(GW).

Nothing special and I'm sure if I could be bothered to go back through the thread I'd find this recipe somewhere. Also I've been using purple/green inks direct on undercoat grey, adding a thinned blue wash then rotting flesh blends over it, that works well too.

Well 15 zeds finished as of last night, a futher 5 on the table part way through to do tonight, and a further 24 based and undercoated, staring at me menacingly from the unit. ;) I'd love to get those done before we play but doubtful, we'll see... I also want to do the two copter crew as 'valued assets'.

And my personal fav, DOKTOR Zed! :D

(Bases to finish all in one go)

Cheers

The Commander

Hasslefree bud.

Zeds in the shot are cold war, griffin, crocodile games, studio miniatures, musketeer hasslefree and a kitbashed manatic/golgo islands/GW chappy.

I haven't as yet Warren, if I did I'd probably get Ian to cut me a 'horde' movement tray and just plonk a few zeds in, either that or use a mixture from the B grade pile, add to it a few character doubles, some mantic plastics when they arrive and Robert's your father's brother, ('Bob's your uncle' for the non UK users is a coloquial term for job's a goodun!, which is a coloquial term for.... nicely done! :D).

I have a link to my blog that shows some cheaper alternatives to some of the hordes I have seen out there and the ones I use with Akula's AR:SE rules, apologies but I cannot get the pictures to upload on here today.
