Kitbashed some Warlord Germans into SCW Republicans
« on: July 06, 2020, 04:07:55 PM »

I decided to turn the sprue of Krauts that came with Wargames Illustrated into a set of International Brigaders.

They came out better than I expected! Threw some green stuff and Empress heads on them and I was all set.

I filed down the pointy nazi officer's cap so it resembled a Spanish one.

Next up I'll try the Warlord Russian winter sprue, which I expect will work well too, given the Republicans used soviet equipment.

Thank you! I haven't done much greenstuff before, but I find just having the right tools makes a big difference.

I've realised that I could adapt an MP44 into a Chauchat LMG fairly easily, so going to try that too. The big selection of gubbinz on Warlord sprues gives you a lot of options.

Great idea!!  :)
"The enemy? His sense of duty was no less than yours, I deem. You wonder what his name is, where he came from. And if he was really evil at heart. What lies or threats led him on this long march from home. If he would not rather have stayed there ... in peace. War will make corpses of us all."

Awesome! :-* :-* :-*

Greatcoats provides so many options. Also that you often can change the position of the legs is a nice option  ;)
