Kiribati Warrior Minis/ Army
« on: July 07, 2020, 02:43:16 AM »
Hello Everyone,

Since you great people are who I make models for. I have a question for you all.

I have collecting information on the Pre-contact people of the island nation of Kiribati. I think I have collected all the info I can, and it is time to design models for this culture. Kiribati is best know of warriors in heavy coconut fiber armor and armed with shark tooth weapons. I have a General, 2 Heroes, battle standard, Command Models and three possible close combat units (Tridents/spears, Great Weapons, and swords and daggers). Kiribati culture did not use missile weapons in warfare.

So here is the question, when it comes to the units would you prefer a multi part kit like the units I made for other cultures or single solid models? The Multi-Part kit would likely be 5 possible combinations per unit type or 3 solid models per unit.  The three Sold Model unit would likely be more character then the 5 multi part model kit would have a lot of options and combos that give the player the chance to build their own models to their liking.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks,
Raza w/ Paymaster Games

Sounds like an extremely interesting project. I like single piece castings. However I know many people who like the option of multi piece for conversion and customization. Any possible chance of incorporating some of each or would that create additional tooling, added labor, and increased production costs!

Slowly catching up on all the LAF pages after being locked away from my computer for the best part of five months. I've just found this article, and as there is nothing yet on your website, I was wondering how this project is getting along? ?
I'm not a mercenary. Killing's more of a hobby for me.

Sounds perfect for Mana Games Tribal rules.
