Mexican Imposters!
« on: March 11, 2021, 01:11:10 PM »
I was torn between posting this on here or on the WW1 boards..... but hey I had to jump in one direction so opted for here!

I have been experimenting with adding new units to my Mexican Revolution collection to add some variety - so have been playing around with some Artisan, Irregular and Tiger Miniatures 'other ranges'.

You can see how it all turned out on my blog:

Yeah the Mex-Rev is one of those in-between eras type conflicts. Kind of like The banana wars or The UK in Afghanistan after world war one. Kind of throw backs to a past era.
Oh how about the Catholic revolution in Mexico that fallowed the revolution, it's name escapes me at the moment. That one doesn't seem to get as much play ether. Rant aside, thanks for sharing.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

It was the Cristeros Rebellion.  Would make for an interesting game.

And now it is working for me as well. Probably a glitch or update some where.  :D
Either way, I like how you tied figures from different ranges into a cohesive force.

Beautiful brush work....BUT......I hate to be THAT guy..... The draft horses are hooked up wrong.  The first set of two should be at the first swingletree/singletree in front of the caisson.  the lead horses are placed in front of the first two of the team, but behind that next swingletree/single tree.
Should be an easy fix by just placing another two horses in front of the caisson and the rear of the front two horses.

Great job! And thanks for taking the constructive criticism so well! Many don't take criticism very well and your attitude is refreshing!

Some good ideas, thanks!

I’ve done something similar with the 1898 Spanish-American War range: https://www.empressminiatures.com/1898-miniaturas-59-c.asp
