Issue 448 of Miniature Wargames features the sixth part in my series of builds or tutorials showing how I have built simple and practical wargame buildings out of scrap materials or readily available materials which were found around the house.

The Timber Framed House was built with corrugated cardboard, egg box card, balsawood scraps and toilet roll insert/roll card.

For more details - see the Blog, however, I have been wondering if there was enough interest in these simple builds to warrant producing extended tutorials in a book, a self-published book;

Dampfpanzerwagon Guide No 4 - Simple Structures for Wargamers. I would need to have some guaranteed sales before proceeding as self-publishing is not cheap. Once again - I have included details on the Blog.

Thank you and stay safe.

If you're interested in self-publishing in the downloadable pdf format, there are several sites that can handle that, like DriveThruRPG. I put a free/pay-what-you-want item there on scratchbuilding furniture: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/295336/Scratchbuilding-and-Kitbashing-Furniture and it has put $20 in my pocket since last November (that's after the 30% cut for the website).

They also do printing, and print-on-demand, but I haven't looked into that.

thanks for that. I'll certainly look at a downloadable issue/copy.

The eighth part of this series showing how I build simple and practical wargame buildings from everyday materials is this 28mm sclae Prussian Barn which was based on a decorative oil burner seen at a Christmas Market back in 2011.

The article can be found in Miniature Wargames issue 454 (February 2021).

For more information, see the Blog.
