Dragon Rampant (and more) at Scrum Con Summer Invitational
« on: July 13, 2020, 05:06:53 PM »

Given the cancellation of Historicon, it didn't take much for the Scrum Club to decide we needed to schedule our own virtual mini-con for the very same weekend that many of us had already blocked out for gaming in Lancaster. We ended up calling it the Scrum Con 2020 Summer Invitational. We wanted to keep it intimate and manageable enough to allow our game club and some of the circle of folks who have supported us over the past couple of years to join us in gaming when they may have otherwise been attending Historicon. We extended invitations to our Scrum Con 2020 game masters, and when a couple of seats were still left in the four games we had planned, we widened the circle to invite anybody who had joined our "Friends of the Scrum Club" Facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/ScrumClub/ hint: there are benefits to joining that group besides the witty repartee, so consider signing up today).

We scheduled four games total, and they all happened to be in the fantasy genre: one on Friday night after work, two back to back on Saturday, and another for Sunday afternoon. It was a truly memorable weekend. Below is a link to a write-up with photos of every game and some stuff we learned about running virtual tabletop wargames via streaming webcams, something we're getting better and better at.
