Staring out my window into the garden, I realised I have a ready source of materials in the form of two tonnes of plum slate I had put in!

I have seen these made from polystyrene but this is much quicker!  Add to it that slate is very easily drilled for pinning.

Dating from late Neolithic, early Bronze Age maybe, these kind of structures are all over Europe.  Not all are as magnificent as say Stonehenge and the majority are really quite small in nature.  Built obviously before the time of our setting, they would none the less feature prominently and perhaps even still retain some mystical or religious importance to the tribes and people’s of the time.  Either way, theY still make for some really simple yet interesting looking scenery.  I will get these based and painted.

First up, a dolmen. A type of single chambered megalithic tomb often formed with two upright stones supporting a horizontal capstone.

And a simple stone circle

The patterns on the wall are interesting, but would they be on the
interior or exterior walls?

Digits I do have a pack of wolves I would be willing to sell, but they
were painted up for a retreat from Moscow Napoleonic game (run
by Ian & t'other Dave).

Cheers for the offer mate but I have my heart set on the Frostgrave wolves.  Drop me a pic though if you will?  Ta

Wall decoration is mentioned in the 15th July post (page 1 of this thread)

Ah!  So first off I thought you meant painting the standing stones!  But, you made me go back and re read Tins post again....and I realised I had completely misunderstood his post!

I’m crap at freehand at the best of times, I can’t even daub a teepee!

Good sized pack Pete and thanks for the offer but I will stick with my earlier plan I think.  In double up mode again....anything I do will also complement my werewolves for another project, cheers.

I like super fierce looking, and did some for my sons Spacewolves a year or two back....but I can’t have them so big.

Btw....are your Boradino dead meant to look like orcs?  The cold clearly does something to you!  :o

And Neolithic structures are based ready for paint.

Painted all the bases and the stones.  I need to go and get some static grass to finish them.  Farmstead underway and trees just need flock.  Productive morning me thinks!

The Russian dead are a pack of Flintlock (?) whose Russians are the undead.
I just removed them from their bases & laid them down. I think they do the
British as Orcs.
