Many thanks for all the kind remarks, gentlemen. Back to some 28s...Here's my initial attempt at a Gallic foot base, still a little tweaking to do, but they're ready to fight.

Very nice paint job, and particularly good work on the sabot base. Keep going!

Cheers, gentlemen!

A little more progress over the last week or so... Getting to work on the Roman leaders/characters & table dressing type stuff. The artillery piece was the last of the force elements I have planned for now, so just some sentries and marching guys aside from the retinue members left to complete. Then on to more Gauls and other things Punic and Pyrrhic.

Love the artillery!  :-*

Makes a very nice little diorama the way you set it up!

Thanks guys!
Putting the finishing touches on a group of 10 Gesetae, but in the meantime, here's the first of my next series, "4 Non Dongs." The Druid for my I2 build, from Gorgon Studios.

I have that same figure but haven't painted him up yet. Great job! Wish I could do it half as well  :D
"Nice try, history; better luck next year."

As I said before...

The Romans look really good, but I think the barbarians are going to steal the show!

 ;)

Thanks gentlemen! They may steal more than the just the show, Ray! This guy is the last my of series, which was on drip-feed elsewhere, Nine Days of Dong #9. (But wait, there's going to be a bonus round!)

And an indication of why I've subjected my gaming mates to scaled down schlong for the last... 9 days -- I'll share more once the basing's done for the group.

These look great. Lovely job on the druid too. Wish I’d bought that figure at the same time I got Sycorax the witch!

We would expect nothing less, brother... objects in the mirror and all that... ;)

Cheers! Thanks for the kind compliments, gentlemen.

4-Non-Dongs #2.
Note some marching troops in the background - more of them to share soon.

More progress for your enjoyment... following this group of WL's best attempts to get "Hey Steve!" credibility. I've struggled to find slingers for the Gauls that I'm happy with, so defaulted to these old guys who were lingering in the lead pile.

Paul Hicks' take on Marius' Mules are some of my favorites from the WL range.

And more of WLs better offerings in the range. They demand I frequently select I2 scenarios that include them.

First pass with the airbrush on this printed tower. The sentries need something to guard after. Haven't made any effort to disguise the z-banding yet, and maybe will go back and work on the surface finish. Nonetheless was curious to get a sense of how it will look on the table top.
