Cracking project!
I too would be interested in the commercial availability or otherwise; as these look spot on for some early VSF thoughts I have been having

Hi
Limited availability for the figures for those interested.
I spent Sunday at the York show buying terrain, a few hills and lots of hedges, with getting the terrain ready I've just got distracted and decided to add a early steam train to the mix, I've found one on thingiverse a laser cut model of the 'Adler'.  I've had to rescale it to 28mm and the kind staff at foreground have given me the internal dimensions of their railway track so I'm scaling the model to that so should give me a good feature and target for a what if game of the Danes stopping the supplies by land reaching SH,  I'll do the tender and carriages which means I'll get a couple of figures done for the foot plate and a seated SH soldier.
A railway line ran from Hamburg to Kiel in 1850 and the scenario is possible with the Danes blockading the ports.
Hopefully 4 weeks should have something built.

The 28mm train is finished, with help from the end of a brush shank for the boiler and a fountain pen for funnel, tender and carriages next.  Thanks for the comments on the Prussians.

I had the first game with approx 11/12 units per side approx 24 figures with cavalry and artillery, attached pictures.

1. Shows Mecklenburg troops with Hanoverians in the background

2. Shows Holstein troops in Prussian style unifroms with Mecklenburg cavalry in the background.

3 and 4. Show Danish infantry and jagers.

Goodness me you are a bit of a Brunel in model form - the locomotive and paddle-boat are stunning.

Love the train and especially the paddle steamer.

Good to see your figures on the table!

Good looking troops you've done up there.  Well done on the trains and the steamer.  Hope that gun is bolted to its deck! :o

Thanks for the responses really appreciate it still to paint the brunswickers and mecklenburg troops to finish 1848 (a few extra Danish units as well), onwards and upwards, starting 1849 with the Danish army in there new uniform followed by the Bavarians - looking forward to these and finish the train with carriage and flatbed.

Cheers Dave
