I’d give slingers aimed fire and make them nimble, at the very least.

They aren't meant to be an elite unit. Just chaff.

Why didnt you make nimble unit?

I am not sure that every army needs them and Halflings don't really seem nimble.

I wanted to get the core units done and then look at introducing a unit similar to the Elven Hunter. Some forest animals or something else that would make sense being Nimble. Most Halflings look like they have troubles walking at a brisk clip

You will need some special units for the halflings (for a full faction). Do you have some idea for it?

Not yet. Looking around at available miniatures for the moment
