And yet another sweet project - Jimbibbly, you are going to make us feel inadequate with our mere fleets of 2 or 3 ships.

That is superb. ;D :-*

It will look fantastic flying over Victorian London crewed by the Si Fan followers of The Devil Dr himself!

I feel a game coming on James ;)

Hello chaps, just a winsy update today. As I said, progress will be slow, but steady  :)

I've decided to go for boarding ramps on the prow with guns surrounding them to clear the way for the 'Chosen of Heaven'  ;)

I've also got a mesh sandpaper that I'm going to use for the window latice work.

From the front

Ramps up

Ramp down

And in place against a tiny Japanese gunboat I'm doing (separate thread later  :D )

More to follow at the weekend  :D

cheers

James

Looking really good. :-*
I like the idea of the boarding planks. :-*
The windows look great, where do you get the mesh?
I have got some of those normal cannon for a pirate game but where did you get the straight barrelled cannon, they look ideal?

But a third Aeronef as well :o :o
That's just showing off that is. ;)

Another weeney update.

I managed to get the props done and loosely attached (I did have the crazy idea of fitting them up to a motor but I haven't got a ratio box to bring them down to a respectable rpm) and also just about finished the grapple guns, have yet to sort out the grapple, I've got some fuse wire that would possibly do.

That's all for now folks... But there wil be more  :D  ;)

cheers

Beautiful stuff. :-* :-* :-*
How have you cut out that shape on the props? I suspect a bit of professional cheating there. :D
My only problem is it looks a bit fragile, my ham fisted gaming group would have this smashed in a jiffy. :'(

I think you missed it when someone else asked, or I missed the response - where did you get the pivot guns? They're great.

@ Sinewgrab - Sorry I missed your post, they were given to me (along with a fair few other navel items) many years ago from a ship modeler who had no need of them. They are turned brass and I think meant for 15-16th century navel guns, although I could be mistaken. They just looked the part.

@ Gamermac - Laser cut balsa  :D I tried to go for a Chinese machette look and I think it worked.

cheers again chaps  :)

Lovely work!  :-*

It's really nice to see the WIP rather than just the finished product.

Excellent, thanks for sharing..........( a few of your ideas have been lodged in my head for future use!!!)

Regards
