Just got back from Enfilade. Bob Murch was there with some of his new figures & had a few packs for sale. I got the new Vallista pack, they're realy nice. I compared them with my Gringo40s Maximillian figure & the size up really well. No I am going to have to make another Gringo40s order & get his Vallistas to go with them.

I obviously have a problem. This month:

- my third shipment of Batman miniatures arrived (something like 30-ish figures all total)
- my Pulp City collector's pledge showed up (after sorting, I *believe* there is 120+ miniatures in that box...and a few are still to arrivel)
- my Guild Ball pledge landed (one of every figure available during the campaign in metal)
- my two sets of Tablescapes tiles finally FINALLY showed up (16 tile sets: clean city streets and ruined temple)

Very exciting but oh-so-daunting.

Onslaught Minis 6mm Juno APCS and Atropos rocket tanks. Pretty nice, crisp casts with negligible print lines, except for the back end of one of the six hulls and a couple of track units where a few details like exhausts have gone a bit 'blobby'. Shouldn't be too hard to sharpen back up again.
Decent proxies for Space Marine rhinos and whirlwinds. Along with a few Steel Crown strip bases, this should be a new start to my Epic gaming, but with minimal Epic minis. Next stop Baccus, Microworld and Troublemaker.

Minifigs re-released Swamp Lords. Memory lane along with some new stuff that was never released back in the day.

Also some Minifigs stuff for me: The "Great War of the Worlds" Martian close combat troopers. The style of sculpting is slightly "soft" (as in, the opposite of crisp), but I love the overall aesthetic of these figures.

Also some of the Kai Lords from the "Joe Dever's Lone Wolf" range produced by Minifigs. Very nice sculpts, can't find any fault with them at all.

I'm wanting those Swamp Lords as well. They look quite similar to the Martians, actually.

I love those Martians. Hope they will be releasing more at some point but, as always, it depends on sales....I did a couple of blog entries with some background when they were released. They did base them on the Swamp Lords so it's a win win for me!

Thanks for bringing your blog posts to my attention, I'd been hesitating to buy the rifle-armed ones for want of photos. I'll be getting them now.

Some very nice minis in that range! How do they scale up with other stuff, please?

I'll take some comparison shots later today (I only have the Kai Lords, though, holding off on Giaks until there's more of them). I'll put them in a new thread in the Fantasy board in case they'll also be helpful to other people who might miss them in this thread. Besides, this range deserves more exposure.

My first impression upon receiving the figures was that they were quite sensibly scaled - not as oversized as is suggested by the fact they're marketed as 32mm. Just a first impression, though. Haven't compared them properly yet.

My main gripe with Minifigs is that they charge 25% shipping for all orders outside of the UK. A Scandinavian pays the same as a New Zealander. Admittedly that's not so bad when one is ordering their cheaper historical figures but with their more "premium-priced" fantasy figures it's a bit of a burden.

Two very welcome packs arrived today.

One was from R Squared Studio, containing minis from their Zombie Plague range - some authentically gangly teenage survivors and a "Dead Sexy" zombie I intend to fix up back into an actual living person.

When I tried ordering these just over a week ago, I had trouble with the shopping cart.  But R Squared is run by Roebeast45 of this very forum, who not only sorted it out, but added an extra mini to the package (with spare head and arm sprues), and propelled it across the Atlantic at high speed.

The other package was an order from Slap Miniatures, which I placed only 2 days ago.  Again, service above and beyond from fellow LAFer Bergil, who located a particular Pewter Pony for me from what was supposed to be a random selection, and also threw in a bonus figure - a neat little pirate goblin, who doesn't seem to be on the website yet.  The other figures were Slap's trio of not-Thimble Theater types.

My hat is off to each of you, gentlemen.  If I had two hats on, I'd doff them both.

Back from the dead, almost.

I love the R Squared miniatures, I didn't get the chainsaw wielder but I did pick up the others.
i'm using the pin up zombie as a necromancer
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

11 of Heresy's trenchcoat gangers. I'd ordered 10 but they generously threw in an 11th plus some weapon sprues. Now that's customer service :D
