My 28mm Sengoku Jidai minis
« on: July 27, 2020, 09:54:40 PM »
Hi all

Thought I would post my modest collection. Started these on a suggestion of a mate and the Sengoku Jidai has become one of my favourite periods. Due to lack of time and storage space I've tried to minimise how many projects I start and these have really been my only project for the most part for about 2 years.

The intention was to use Pulp Alley for small games and Seven Spears (a fan mod of Dux Britanniarum) for larger skirmish games. Unfortunately my busy work and home life means I've only had one solo game of each in the last 2 years or so but I've greatly enjoyed working on the minis and reading around the period so the lack of games doesn't bother me too much.

Vast majority of the minis are Perry besides one or two characters that are from Steel Fist.

The following are for my first Seven Spears force
Some leaders:

A unit of samurai armed with yari:

Ashigaru armed with yari:

Ashigaru armed with bows:

These are for my second Seven Spears force. I have another unit of yari ashigaru done but don't think I've taken any pictures

Some bandits for Pulp Alley. These were a set from Test of Honour. Unfortunately the katana on the leader has since snapped

Some rice bail schleppers:

Some villagers. Got another set of these to paint

I do have more terrain that I'll post if I get them out. I did play some very simple games with my kids (they got their own minis) and they've been begging to play again so hopefully my stuff will emerge sooner rather than later

They look great, where can one find the "Seven Spears" mod?

Nice work! A shame about the snapped katana.
Got to kick at the darkness till it bleeds daylight.

Hi all, still plugging away with this project. 6 Perry samurai I finished up last night, all thats missing from the pictures is base flock. Quite happy with these, took me a good while. Trying to decide what to paint next, some cavalry or more ashigaru  o_o
