Barbarian Lord of the Sunken Kingdom
« on: July 27, 2020, 05:38:23 AM »
Hi folks,

I've got a new painted miniature, a resin print from an upcoming kickstarter project. The one was printed on an Anycubic Photon, primed in white and then painted with Reaper paints and Liquitex acrylic inks. I was going for a bit of ancient bronze style armor, maybe a bit more of an Atlantean alloy, so a lot more green shading. The base of the armor and shield was brass, then it was washed with a mixture of Burnt Umber and Turquoise ink. Then when dry, highlighted with brass + silver, then glazed down with more ink. It's a bit of a muted effect but I thought it fit with the figure.

And here he is in a bit of trouble with the Daggertooth King Lizard I did a while back.

For those interested in the kickstarter, here is the link to the preview page. Please let us know if you want to see anything in particular added to the list of things to make.

Now that is bloody nice!

As close to a Frazetta painting as I expect to ever see in miniature form.

Absolutely stunning work. I love the effect you got with the armor.
Seeing it with the dinosaur makes my mouth water with envy.
Outstanding. Thanks for posting
