Hi there,

If the flags are still available, I'd love to have them as I have just started 15mm Carlist Wars using figures from Mike at Stonewall Figures..  He's a great guy and the figures are very nice.

I've often considered the Carlist war in 15mm, how are the QRF and Capitan offerings? Granted I've seen the pics on your blog, do they mix well, any other thoughts.

Anyone know what the state of play is with the Capitan figures now given the Spanish ruling on the Capitan ranges - are Stonewall allowed to be selling them still?

The infantry from both mix very well.  You could put them on the same base as I have done.  Ditto the artillery.  The QRF Guns are particularly nice.  The Capitan Mule borne Mountain Guns and crew are great.

Both manufacturers cavalry will work well with the figures described above.  There is an issue, for me, with the QRF cavalry.  All of them are cast on the same horse figure. It's an old horse from the FK Hellenistic range and a fine enough one.  The overall effect is of big men on small horses that are somehow all in perfect step.  You could mitigate this with various basing schemes.  The number of units covered in the QRF cavalry range is truly impressive and all come with command figures.

The Capitan cavalry range is nowhere near as comprehensive but there are enough units to do the job.  Most of my cavalry are from Capitan.

If Ive missed anything please let me know.  It is a great period to game.

I've seen the news of the Xan ruling and imagine it will have consequences.  Beyond that I don't know anything specific.

I thought a pic of Capitan crew figures and a QRF gun might show how well they work together.

I know Mark at Stonewall, he is still casting and selling Capitan figures without issue.  he's even having new sculpts made
