I've just been looking at them on Facebook and the Studio website.

Glad to see them back. Am I right in thinking that the range has been extended?

Great paintwork, Jon. The figures look a bit of a mixed bag? Some really nice ones in there and a few that look a wee bit squiffy. But maybe that’s just me.
Interesting timing on this range, what with the Perry plastics on their way...

I always felt that the Studio afghans were ever so slightly wooden, have to say they a simle easy paint job, just done a small number to mix in with my other Muslim tribes.

Obviously I can hardly be neutral here but...

The casting is great (these were production castings not masters), they're all one piece too so minimal clean up and assembly... stick 'em on a base and start painting  8)

They're also very 'painter friendly'; good, deep detail and not over fussy.

Well that’s good to know. Well done Studio Miniatures. Minimal clean-up is music to my ears  :)

What happened to all their figures because when you click on a section there is nothing showing?

Yeah, Afghans are back, their opponents are not.
Em dezembro de '81
Botou os ingleses na roda
3 a 0 no Liverpool
Ficou marcado na história
E no Rio não tem outro igual
Só o Flamengo é campeão mundial
E agora seu povo
Pede o mundo de novo

Sorry I meant the First Afghan War British range. Also the Sikh War ranges have disappeared. No doubt it's a temporary Covid-19 related thing. On the other hand, if they were re-sculpting the 1st Afghan Brits or at least revisiting the moulds so they weren't so two dimensional and had the prominent mould lines removed, that would be a good thing. Unlikely though.

I think that the ranges will be making a return- the Sikh Wars range seem to be on it's merry way:

I would imagine the rest of the historical ranges, many of which have been expanded, will be making a comeback.

Those NWF British are great miniatures. If only they would add to them, advancing at trail would be a good addition. They would work for the Boer War too.

100% with you on that.  Studio has been expanding many of their historical ranges so we can have hope :)
