Very nice job. I agree about the colour choices.

Another fan of the colours used here!

Choosing a Volksgrenadier division based on a Luftwaffe Field Division was inspired! Not only does it give the collection a narrative and character all their own...but they will stand out amid the sea of Waffen SS and Heer winter-clothed troops!
Now listen to me you benighted muckers. We're going to teach you soldiering. The world's noblest profession. When we're done with you, you'll be able to slaughter your enemies like civilized men.

Fabulous. I love the way you’ve turned the flakwagen into a diorama as well as a gaming piece. The whole collection is looking great  :-*

Yeah the base shade colour looks really dark...Humbrol acrylic 15?
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

Thanks for comments, guys.

For my "Luftwaffe Grey", I used 2 colors :
- the lighter one (on the FJ) is made using GW "fenris grey" (+ AP black for shade and PA ivory for highlights)
- the darker one (on Shultz/Klink) is made using a  mix of GW 'kantor blue" + PA black (with black ink + highlights by adding PA ivory to the base mix).

I hope it helps, even if the light grey is not dark enough for real luftwaffe grey.

If you want a more realistic color, you may use this :

Hi guys !

More work done here, and the thread will go another direction as I'm currently working with a friend on a "battle of the Bulge" project.
I paint the minis (Germans for my friend, GIs for me), and my friends is doing the terrain.

- the battlefield as it stands for now (more details and terrain to come) :

- some WIPs :

- the US infantry :

- and the german forces :

For those interested, I have all the fallschirmjäger part of my previous army to sell.
MP me for the details ! ^^

Lovely work all round. I love Bulge projects, as the mix of winter gear makes for a unique and interesting force on both sides of the conflict  :)
