(C)old West miniatures?
« on: August 05, 2020, 12:54:48 PM »
Hi all,

Bit of an odd one but miniatures wise it sits here better than the post apocalyptic forum.
I recently received my Kickstarter pledge for 'The After', a western themed post apoc game set about 120 years after an alien invasion, where technology has largely regressed to a Western level.

The setting has a bit of a cold Frontier vibe, with lots of cowboy types in furs etc.

What manufacturers make cowboys and similar in winter garb, furs etc? Native Americans too if they're around?

28mm preferred  :)

Cheers!

Brigade Games do some well wrapped up Characters inspired by various films

Foundry do their Mountain men range, including cold-weather Native Americans (Blackfeet)

1st Corps do some Mountain men

A couple of the Artizan Old West figures are in fur coats/fur lined jackets

Great Escape Games have some (rather large) mountain men for Dead Man's Hand

Tiger Miniatures do some cold/wet weather trappers in their Mounties Range (formerly a HLBS range, with about half the figures being nice Richard Kemp sculpts, the others being semi-decent conversions)

Pulp Figures do some chaps in their Yukon Peril range that are well wrapped up Western trapper types. Plus mountaineers

Copplestone Castings do pulp era arctic explorers

WestWind do pulp era Himalayan explorers

No worries - Having done a cold weather post apocalypse setting, and with my tree scenery all being autumnal for my old west gaming, it was nice for the research to be handy for someone else for once lol
