DWARF BAND 1º Wave
« on: August 06, 2020, 09:32:12 AM »
Hello, guys. I have been thinking on doing a dwarf treasure hunter band since I started sculpting more than 10 years ago. Using the free time we all were forced to get for the pandemic, finally I were able to sculpt the first miniatures, old school style, and the metal mould will be ready in a few days, so I thought it was a good moment to start to share them.

In fact, if you are interested in any of them, send me a PM ;] I will be doing a "proof print", and if it works I will continue doing the rest of the band more oficially.

Oh, and to be clear:

- Thunderer is the estalian one with the crossbow.
- Shortbeard A is the imperial one, running.
- Shortbeard B is the estalian lancer.
- Shortbeard C is the tilean duelist.
- Shortbeard D is the bretonnian girl.

Cheers!

Very characterful sculpts with some lovely animation .
I'll keep an eye out for theses as you develop the range . As of right now I've zero spare cash and brownie points(bought a new car yesterday and buying more dwarfs wouldn't go down well with' her in doors.')
I doubt very much you'll miss my cash these aren't going to be hard to sell lol

Mark.

How do these compare size wise to proper old school, ie 80s citadel dwarfs?

I actually find myself tempted, despite not painting much fantasy just now. However, some new "old school" stuff towers over the older figures :(

If you have some comparison pictures that would be great

FWIW, Mordheim was released in 1999 and the Dwarfs weren’t a playable faction until the Annual was released in 2002 i.e. Warhammer 5th & 6th edition ‘Midhammer’ days. Most people simply used the Warhammer Fantasy Dwarfs that we’re available. Specialist Games did eventually put out a set but they were below par, in my view.

Thanks!

I will try to do some photos with one of my old dwarfs, but I can already tell you that I used them for the scale, so they are exactly the same, with their big heads and enormous hands and feet XD

Citizen Sade, I am not sure, but I think Mordheim rules, in White Dwarf, had a list for dwarfs. I will search for it.

Dwarves have never been my thing but these are quite nice.
