Napoleonic Battle in Bavaria
« on: September 10, 2020, 03:20:41 PM »
Hi all,

We played a game of 28mm General d'Armee this week.  I hope you like the pictures.

The game was an encounter battle with the Austrians facing a mixed French allied force of Bavarians, Poles, Hessians and Nassauers.

The crux of the battle was the Bavarian assault on the Austrian held ridgeline and rose garden.

The Austrians just held on due to some impressive shooting with their 6Lber brigade battery getting unit of the match.

Very impressive display of units.
Now what is this whole life of mortals but a sort of comedy, in which the various actors, disguised by various costumes and masks, walk on and play each one his part, until the manager waves them off the stage?

Thanks all. Not my armies sadly but those of my mates at SSWG

I have fixed the link now Ray.  Thanks for the bug report.  There's not a lot more on the blog for this, truth be told, but hopefully more to come in the future.  28mm Napoleonics always looks the part.  :)

Magnificent, in a way that only a project that includes Bavarians could be.
No plan survives first contact with the dice.
