Check out what this fella has been doing, by combining Five Parsecs From Home and Void Pirates!

Sounds like an absolute blast.

Sure, I do that all the time.

Many times, that leads me to other innovations and to build new games.

I have never done this as extreme as the guy in the video, but I have stolen an idea from one game and added/translated it to another rule set. It seems to work for the guy so I think it is a good idea.

On a side note, I thought it would be a good thing to do in the star wars universe. I have a pretty good x wing miniatures 1.0 collection and am in the initial phases building a 15 mm collection of skirmish miniatures for some star wars skirmishing. Thinking of using Blasters and Bulkheads for the ground skirmish and using x wing miniatures for the space combat version. It would be nice to chain these two styles together with some sort of procedural generation rules for the campaign.

So I think this style can work to spice things up and generate new ideas to try.

I'm working on house-ruling Kill Team to make it a bit more Inq28y by incorporating bits from Necromunda (both original and neo).  As fun as Necromunda is, I find it plays a little slowly, but Kill Team is a bit too light, so I'm splitting the difference.
