Clive, that’s a brilliant unit and a splendid blog post - really enjoyed it. I love the innovation and general classic VBCW-ness of it - the eclectic mix of the sources of figures and equipment. Marvellous
I was also pleased and not a little surprised by the choice of command vehicle because, of course, it’s the very same as that selected by Chief Superintendent Ronald "Ronnie" Biggs, commander of the Wiltshire Police Flying Column. Whilst searching, some may say scavenging, for support weapons when equipping his command, he discovered a prototype of a scout car tucked away in an old shed on Salisbury Plain. He had no doubt that his was the only one of these vehicles that had been made and so finding that the Public School platoon had several has been unexpected. "Trust the bloody toffs to find a garage full of them" was his disobliging reaction.
Superintendent Biggs in his hitherto thought-to-be-unique command vehicle.
Keep up the really great work, Clive
