The Brodrick Union of Fascists.   Brodrick was a small town just west of Sacramento, that has now been swallowed up by the city of West Sacramento.  It is on the other side of the Sacramento river, in Yolo county.  The BUF is an extreme Nationalist Organization in our world.  Related to the silver legion and the Lindbergh faction.  Anti-communist, and by association anti-Union.

Trying to maintain some sort of Law and Order, is the Sacramento Police department.  They can't even agree on the official uniform color.

Bank Guards.  Hopefully we will be posting some battle reports soon.  The virus is making it hard to get games in.

Curious how we would play the battles out? Face to Face, video game?

Battles will need to be face to face, probably in someone's garage.  Sanitize, wash hands, wear masks,
 6 foot table.

So we got in our first game.  More practice for the players  Mike Branum vs John Burgess.  $2,400.00 force each.  They each fielded an armored car and two squads of infantry with ATR and Rifle grenades.  It was a hard fought battle to capture a building in the center.  Mike Nation of Allah troops were getting the better of Johns Bund forces.  But a unexpected failure to move followed by a fail pin check and the a catastrophic failure to rally by Mike lead to a sudden shift of fate.  Burgess' Bund held the building at the end of the day.
Pictures to follow.

Looking forward to seeing the photos.
On a side note, got some movement on the old 1933 Facebook page. Mentioned that they might go for another try at a book or something next year.

John Burgess got lucky!  I'll get him next time.  Meanwhile here are a few pics of the Nation of Allah forces.

That would be good if they did try and get something out.

Mikos Khan,
That Armored car looks like it has had ash rain on it.  Is that from the fires?  After all it is FIRE season in California right now.

Last Friday we did another (rather unbalanced) practice game for our ACW II Sacramento campaign.  I'm afraid I have to take the blame for this one since it was my scenario and I seriously underestimated the benefit that hard cover gives to troops fighting defensively.  The game was pretty much a straightforward attack on a communist supply depot defended by a couple of units of well dug in infantry supported by a heavy machine gun and an armored car against 4 nationalist type infantry units upgraded with rifle grenades and a couple of AT rifles.  The nationalists were also supported by an armored car with a .50 cal.  The nationalists made a spirited attack against the well dug in communists but the defensive positions and an serious case of cold dice by the nationalist commander contributed to the lopsided victory by the commies (boo!).
