I carefully placed that sniper and did not mention him.  The camouflage worked.

The game was fun for 4 players. (Mikos Khan, myself, John Burgess and the "new guy" Jason.) This week I think we go back to Pikeman's lament, as seen in a different forum.

We will continue to post these games as we can.  Thanks for the great photos, Mikos Khan.

Great photos!  I’m sorry I missed this one, but I was armed with a bioweapon last week, and it would have been against international law to deploy it at the table.

Putinoffsky meets his maker.    Hmmm....   I have NO IDEA what this is referencing.    Maybe it's some off-hand comment made  made by notorious racketeer Jojo Beidenhaber.     That guy was a total bada[ctor] in his day.   Had a rumble with another notorious gangster Corn'e Poppe or something like that, right?

Recently we were discussing doing something a little different for our next Sacramento campaign game and we decided on a "chase" game in which a small group of hostages managed to escape from their captors - a force of Bolsheviks headquartered in the nearby town of Davis (sorry Leadfool).  The hostages (and their Marine guards) started about a foot from the board edge and were pursued by six 12 figure units of Bolsheviks and two trucks but were supported by two units of Marines and a medium machine gun.  Unfortunately for the commies the Marine player (Leadfool) had strategically placed his two units (one in a swamp and the other in a wooded thicket) and was able to hold up their advance (aided by some crappy dice rolls by the commie players) long enough to give the hostages a good head start.  Finally the commies were able to get their trucks near enough to the hostages to launch an infantry assault in an attempt to recapture them.  Luckily for the hostages when they crossed the small blue stream the final two units of Marines were activated and they dramatically arrived just as the Bolsheviks captured three of the hostages and were able to save the remaining five.  It was a fun game and both sides were able to claim a partial victory.

Fun game. Sharpshooters and ambushes are brutal--I'm glad wiped out squads got to return to the battle.  Trucks that never activate can be frustrating too but they worked out in the end.
