Tonight we had the latest fight of our campaign - The Battle for the Sacramento Union (newspaper).  This game pitted the Temperance League against the forces of LULAC (League of United Latin American Citizens).  The Temperance League put up a brave fight against pretty heavy odds but was finally forced from the field by the LULAC artillery. Photos below.

Swiss-American rifles take up a defensive position supported by an armored car.  Polish-American troops lay fire from the roadway while their cavalry advances behind cover.  The Polish tankette swivels around to deal with enemy armor.

Vynnie - those are nice looking photos, but weren't there three factions on the battlefield?

Here is a recently discovered photo of the nearly forgotten "third force" aka the Japanese SNLF in the above game described by Vynnie.

Last weekend we had the 2nd Battle of KFBK radio between the forces of LULAC and the Nation of Allah.  The attack began with the LULAC forces entering the field and promptly occupying the high ground immediately to their front.  They then (undeterred by sporadic mortar fire) set up up their artillery on a ridgeline and prepared to begin shelling the buildings occupied by the Morslems.  Unfortunately, for LULAC the Morslem air force chose that exact moment to make their appearance over the battlefield and made a bombing attack on the ridgeline which destroyed the artillery position and killed the entire gun crew.  That effectively ended the game and LULAC withdrew after a brief gunfight with the Morslems entrenched in the buildings.
