Such fun!  Your group is blessed to have such a set of toys coupled with an abundance of  imagination.

Joe Fish, thanks for the complements.

The other photos show the communist armored car come on to the battle right behind the anti-communist armored car.  The communists fired into its rear and and over several turns were able to damage the car enough that its weapon was disabled and it fled.  The "imaginative" communist propaganda photo shows it destroyed.

That is what we call "socialist realism" in art!

We use shell casings for pin markers and coins for vehicle penetration's.  Each penetration costs 1inch of movement.  Three penetrations disables a weapon.  Penetrations' equal to the vehicle hull points destroys the vehicle.

Vehicles tend to run when they have a few holes in them.  An escaped damaged vehicle still has campaign value.

A good rule that keeps some realism in the campaign.  They don't just blow up and are never seen again.

My attempt with the campaign rules is to compel the players to act like a real commander.  Better to pull back a shot up vehicle or a squad with casualties, then send it in on some sort of do or die type attack.

Maybe some rules to steal/capture/confiscate assets from other players?

Besides buying troops or equipment, the money can be transferred between players.  It can be used to hire Spys.  We have a raid rule, that if a player attacks another, and finds out the defender is too big to shift, he can convert his attack to a raid  Then he is more interested in damaging the opponent than capturing the territory.  He reduces the ability of the place to make money for a turn or two.  He might actually get some money out of it, if he is inside the objective building for a turn.

We just had a Post office fight.  Pictures will follow.  The Artist colony was driven out by the temperance league.

So Frida Kahlo vs Carrie Nation and her axe.   Alas the uni-brow was ultimately parted.

This last Friday we had our latest campaign game - The Temperance League vs the Artistes for the Sacramento Main Post Office (I guess the TL didn't like the crayon drawings that kept showing up on on their letters).  This was a small fight that centered on the two story dark red building in the photos.  It pretty quickly devolved into a contest of attrition between the dug-in but outnumbered Artistes and the TL.  It took several turns and numerous casualties on both sides but finally the Artistes withdrew taking all of their recently painted Rembrandt & Da Vinci forgeries with them.  Photos below.
