We're back!  This Friday we had a game designed to see how a multi turreted monstrosity - a pair of Russian T-35s (owned by Vynnie) would fair in an urban fight using our rules.  The game pitted the T-35s and a few squads of militia against two of Leadfool's T-26s an artillery piece and a few squads of souped up infantry plus my M-3 Stuart, an artillery piece, a couple of USMC squads and a P-26.  The game started out badly for the allied forces (me and Leadfool) with both artillery pieces and several infantry being lost in the first two turns.  At this point Leadfool advanced against one of the T-35s and engaged it in a street fight which resulted in several hits on the Russian vehicle.  In the meantime my forces had called in the Air Corps and a bombing run plus a lucky hit from my Stuart resulted in the other T-35 being heavily damaged.  Eventually the volume of fire being directed on the T-35's resulted in them withdrawing from the battlefield.  It was a fun game (since we won) but we got extremely lucky and I doubt a rematch would turn out the same way.

A couple of Saturday's ago we did another (long delayed) game in our ACWII campaign.  This was mainly a welcome game for our newest faction - Tories from Canada who have intervened in the ACW to reclaim the colonies for the crown (no offense intended to my British friends).  The scenario was a raid against a weakly defended Morslem supply depot by a Tory force and a few units of the Polish Legion that showed up on the battlefield at about the same time.  After some initial trepidation the Tories and Poles formed an uneasy alliance and stormed the supply depot which they captured after a brief firefight.  However, while they were busy looting the supplies a Morslem relief force showed up and attempted to reclaim the allies ill gotten gains.  Unfortunately for the Morslems the Tories had left a medium machine gun to guard their line of retreat and it proceeded to perforate the Morslem armored car until it fled the battlefield taking the rest of the force with it (but they did finally manage to knock out the MMG).

A Morslem sniper - he actually managed to hit the driver of the Tory truck and delayed the advance for a couple of turns.

We figured the cost of 5 turrets is simply too much for what they get to do.  Also the limited number of hull points was not enough for the cost.  The 5 turret tanks could only take a few more hits than the single turret tank.
The game was fun, but we were lucky the infantry the Russians fielded was only militia.

How about weird American Civil war.  Attached is a draft of the rule's additions to "The men who would be warlord."
